The Weavers Guild of Minnesota is a dealer for the Schacht Spindle Company, the maker of looms, wheels, shuttles, bobbins and much more! You can order a new loom, spinning wheel, or other weaving and spinning equipment through the Weavers Guild or stop by WGM to purchase tools and small equipment on site.
Schacht Spindle (Boulder, CO) is the designer and maker of the Baby and Mighty Wolf looms WGM uses in many of our floor loom classes, along with the Flip the Folding loom we use for rigid heddle classes. Spinning supplies include the Ladybug, Matchless and Sidekick wheels, and the beautiful Schacht-Reeves Saxony Spinning wheels, all of which are available by special order.
Many Schacht products are carried in our store, Fiber Source, such as boat, rag, and stick shuttles, plastic bobbins, tapestry bobbins and beaters, fringe twisters, hooks, warping boards (4 yd and 14.5 yd), cardboard spools for sectional warping, flick carders, drop spindles, and spinning oil. We have a great selection of small portable looms like the 10” and 15” Cricket, the 20” Flip the Folding Loom (we use the 20” in our classes), as well as Lilli loom, inkle looms, card weaving cards, Zoom looms, and the brand new Easel Weaver.
For larger or specialty products–or simply something we aren’t able to stock due to space limitations–WGM offers the option to special order Schacht projects. Good to Know
For orders under $300, full payment is expected at the time of order. For orders over $300, we generally ask you to pay half at the time of order and half upon delivery. If ordering for the holidays, please plan ahead to ensure a December 4 ship date. Floor looms may take 4 weeks to ship; wheels, portable looms and accessories normally take 2-3 weeks.
