Bring your lunch and meet artist Susie Taylor! This Textile Center 2018 Guest Teaching Artist received the HGA Certificate of Excellence in Handweaving in 2012, and over the last 30 years her work has been showcased in museums around the world. She will walk us through the evolution of her art and weaving practices, and give us some insight into the processes she uses to create weaving origami. After her presentation, there will be time for questions and discussion, and we will then take a tour of Susie’s solo exhibition, Poetic Geometry, in Textile Center’s Studio and Community Galleries.
