Do or Dye! - Dye, Spin & Weave
Ages 10 - 16
How 'do' you 'dye' fabric and fiber? Spend the first two sessions in the dye lab creating a colorful palette of fabric and fibers, then into the spinning room you go! How 'do' you spin on a spinning wheel? Our instructor will teach you some 'dye' hard techniques to spin your dyed fibers into a small ball of yarn to use in a knitting project or in your floor loom project the next day. How 'do' you weave on a floor loom? In the second half of this class, you will transform your colorful fabric into strips and weave them on the big floor loom to make a mod tote or duffle bag complete with a flap and handle....It's to 'dye' for!
